Good Morning

Her body had been consuming the IV drip for months, immunizing itself. Slowly she began to wake from her medically induced coma. Her eyes fluttered open and as her vision struggled to focus, her hand found the wide wet hole in her abdomen. Her ribs were held open by a scaffolding of steel instruments. These instruments played smooth blues to her vital organs . Her fully focused eyes found the shelf of jars containing the rest of her organs, all labeled with names- Eva, her uterus; Charlie, her liver; Sylvia, a grey mile of intestine.
