Official Color of 2011

Pantone, “the global authority on color and provider of professional color standards for the design industries,” decided the official color of 2011 will be the color of sorority girl vomit and hot dog innards.
“In times of stress, we need something to lift our spirits. Honeysuckle is a captivating, stimulating color that gets the adrenaline going – perfect to ward off the blues,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “Honeysuckle derives its positive qualities from a powerful bond to its mother color red, the most physical, viscerally alive hue in the spectrum.”
In the color world, colors bond to their mothers by repainting all the rooms together soon after the birth of a new color. Should the bonding process not be observed, new colors can go bad and become unsuitable even for primer. Fabric swatches that fail to bond to their mother colors deteriorate into moth-chewed zombie lace.
